Ring of ...		Effect

<something> resistance	Get the intrinsic "<something> resistance"
Levitation		Makes you levitate (temporal, not permanent)
			  (used to be permanent in version 3.1.3)
Adornment		Increases Charisma by the enchantment of ring
Strength		Increases Strenght by the enchantment of ring
Increase damage		Apparently (correct me) gives you intrinsic
			  Increase Damage! (in version 3.1.3, it used
			  to boost strength only)
Protection		Boosts your AC by enchantment of ring (not clear 
			  if you can do it more than once, but seems OK)
Hunger			Confers the intrinsic
Regeneration		Confers the intrinsic
Conflict		Confers the intrinsic
Stealth			Confers the intrinsic
Aggravate monster	Confers the intrinsic
Warning			Confers the intrinsic
Searching		Confers the intrinsic
Protection from shape changers
			Confers the intrinsic
Invisibility		Confers the intrinsic
See invisible		Confers the intrinsic

Chance of working: 1/3.

Amulet ...		Effect

of ESP			Gives telepathy as per floating eye corpse, not
			ESP as the amulet of ESP or the helm of telepathy.

If you polymorph into a monster which can eat a given ring, and that
ring has an intrinsic you don't have, then you have a 1/3 chance of
getting that intrinsic.
